Dr. Klaper tells us about the health benefits of turmeric and curcumin. Curcumin is a bright yellow chemical and the principal curcuminoid of turmeric, a member of the ginger family. There are many traditional turmeric uses and benefits including anti-inflammatory properties, increasing the antioxidant capacity of the body, and lower risk of heart disease. When combined with black pepper the effects are even stronger in the body. It is best to take 1-2 teaspoons a day and not over do it.

Question: What do you think of turmeric? Is there a limit to how often you can consume it? Does it work better with black pepper?
