French Fried Portobello Mushrooms.
• Simply clean, slice and season Portobello Mushrooms with.
• Slap Ya Mama.
• Ginger Flakes Salt.
• Smoked Paprika.
• Dry Parsley Flakes.
• Let Mushroom marinate for an hour.
• Method: In a bowl add 1 cup of All-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder along with some of the spices used to season mushroom.
• Combine Spices well with flour.
•Once done combing, take out about a ⅓ of a cup of the flour.
• Then mix the rest of seasoned flour with 1 cup of water to make a batter. ( Your batter should be like a pancake batter, not too thin and not too thick).
• Start dipping marinated mushrooms into the batter, be sure to coat well.
• After coating Mushrooms into the batter.
• Spread Mushrooms and parchment paper and sprinkle Mushrooms with the flour ⅓ cup of seasoned flour along with some yellow cornmeal.
• In a Deep Fryer or deep pot.
• Heat 1 Cup of Vegetable Oil, or oil of your choice on medium heat.
• Once the oil is hot.
• Start dropping Mushrooms in hot oil and fry until nice and golden brown on both sides.
• Once done frying, remove from oil and drain on paper towel.
• To achieve a nice color, sprinkle some of the smoked paprika in the oil while frying mushrooms.
