I feel so honored to be invited to Paris to join a panel discussion all revolving around sustainability and food.
The sad reality is: our diets are entirely based on monocultures nowadays. Did you know that the average person only eats around 5 meats and 12 plants only? 60% of calories are coming from 3 plantbased carbohydrate sources only (such as maize).
Knorr has initiated a movement in collaboration with WWF to diversify our diets by increasing the nutritional value while decreasing the environmental impact of our foods. They’ve released a study which highlights 50 foods that are not only good for our bodies but also good for the planet. The foods were chosen based on their nutrition, lower impact on the planet by being plant-based, can be affordable, accessible and also taste good.
In a nutshell: let‘s eat more grains, tubers, legumes, veggies, mushrooms, nuts & seeds for our own health & for Mother Nature!
